Every time you open the refrigerator door, up to 30 percent of the cold air can escape. Next time you’re hungry, think about what you want before opening the refrigerator door and aimlessly searching for a snack.
Recycle Bin Check

Power Patrol did a recycle bin check after school. The 2 teachers with the fullest bin got a coffee mug!
LED Lights

In comparison to the traditional incandescent bulb, LED holiday lights last up to 25 times longer and use up to 90 percent less electricity and, because they produce very little heat, there is a reduced risk of a fire.
Composting -

While the district pays taxes on regular waste, both recycling and food compost are tax free. Properly recycling your bottles, cans, paper and compostables saves the district money!
Shades

Interior shades/blinds have been shown to maintain temperatures by as much as 5°F when they are closed all night during the heating season. This enables the heating equipment to reach daytime set points more efficiently the following morning.
